The Minnesota Twins edged the New York Yankees 5 to 4 in 13 innings on Victor Caratini’s walk-off single, and Aaron Judge left with lower-leg tightness. Looking ahead, the NFL takes centre stage Thursday night as the Detroit Lions visit the Buffalo Bills in the first regular-season game at the new Highmark Stadium. Both teams are 1-and-0, with Josh Allen accounting for all four Buffalo touchdowns in Week 1 and Jahmyr Gibbs rushing for 156 yards in Detroit’s opener. Sunday night, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs host the Indianapolis Colts.
