Alexander Zverev awaits after eliminating Karen Khachanov in straight sets, winning a 34-shot rally in the second-set tiebreak and erasing a 5-2 deficit in the third-set tiebreak. Elena Rybakina also rallied past Coco Gauff in three sets to reach her first US Open final. In MLB, the Baltimore Orioles beat the Jays 7 to 4 after scoring five runs during a six-hit second inning against Max Scherzer. The Milwaukee Brewers clinched a playoff berth with a record-setting 20 to 0 win over the Cincinnati Reds, while Junior Caminero’s walk-off two-run homer sent the Tampa Bay Rays past the Houston Astros 3 to 1 and into the postseason.

Looking ahead, the US Open women’s final has new world number 1 Elena Rybakina facing two-time defending champion Aryna Sabalenka, who is chasing the tournament’s first women’s three-peat since Serena Williams. In LPGA golf, Europe and the United States resume the Solheim Cup tied 4-4 after Nelly Korda and Allisen Corpuz earned their record fifth consecutive win as a pairing. In MLB, the Jays get another home date with the Baltimore Orioles, with Spencer Arrighetti scheduled against Kyle Bradish. In the CFL, the Toronto Argonauts host the winless Ottawa Redblacks, while the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers meet again after Saskatchewan’s overtime win last weekend.
