In UFC, Gregory Rodrigues beat Anthony Hernandez by unanimous decision in the Sacramento middleweight main event. Rodrigues landed the heavier strikes, regained control after Hernandez’s third-round takedown and finished strongly to earn his fourth straight victory. In Formula One, George Russell won the Dutch Grand Prix sprint ahead of Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris, controlling the race from pole for his first victory since June. In MLB, the Jays edged the New York Yankees 4 to 3 as Dylan Cease carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning and struck out eight, while pinch-hitter Nathan Lukes drove in two runs. In Formula One, Lando Norris starts the Dutch Grand Prix ahead of Russell and championship leader Kimi Antonelli. In ATP tennis, Arthur Fils meets Frances Tiafoe in the Cincinnati Open final, with Tiafoe back in the title match after finishing runner-up in 2024. The WTA final is an all-American meeting between Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula. In MLB, the Jays close their series against the New York Yankees, and in the CFL, the Saskatchewan Roughriders visit the BC Lions.
