Milwaukee rewrites history!

This is The Sports Reset for Wednesday August 19th

In MLB, the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Seattle Mariners 22 to 0, tying the largest margin in a major-league shutout since 1888. David Hamilton drove the night with three hits and two home runs, while Garrett Mitchell went four-for-six and every Milwaukee hitter reached base and scored. The Brewers led by only one midway through the fifth, then broke it open with five runs in both the fifth and sixth before a nine-run eighth. Their 22 runs also matched the franchise record. The Jays supplied the Canadian highlight, beating the Tampa Bay Rays 10 to 5.

Looking ahead, MLB brings an immediate rematch between the Brewers and Mariners, with Seattle trying to recover against a Milwaukee club that entered the series with one of baseball’s strongest records. The Jays continue their visit to the Rays after opening it with a 10-run performance. Elsewhere, the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles meet again after New York’s 3-to-1 win, while the Los Angeles Dodgers return to Coors Field after edging the Colorado Rockies 7 to 6. The Jays begin a road series against the Yankees on Friday. Beyond the scoreboard, five Buss siblings intend to sell the family’s remaining 17.8 percent stake in the Los Angeles Lakers to Josh Kushner and Bob Iger, while Jeanie Buss is contesting a move that would end her tenure as team governor.
